Hey y'all, this
is Steve Saka, and welcome to CigarNexus.Com. I'm currently in my rental
car cutting across the glorious state of Texas. My plane touched down in
Houston about two hours back and I'm about halfway up Highway 290 heading
west to Austin. That's right, I'm bound for the herf, The herf on the lake!
Yeeee haw! Now if I sound excited that's because I genuinely am. This is
certain to be one of the biggest best events in all of ASC history and
we owe it to our host Dick Pewters and Guy Thomas because they have got
this big mega Loan Star State style barbecue planned for us. More food
then you could possible eat, micro-beer brew beer on tap, unbelievable
smokes to herf down and of course, the best of ASC friendships to enjoy
while doing it. I wish everyone could be here with me. I understand that's
not possible but hopefully you guys can saddle up here on CigarNexus.Com
and do a little bit of Texas two-steppin' vicariously.
[Heavy Rain Sound...]
I guess you guys can hear that huh? Well I'm about
an hour outside of Austin now, let me tell you the rain is just coming
down big time. Now I'm not one to complain about the ride but let me tell
you somethin' about Highway 290... I can say this because I happen to be
a fellow-Texan. There's not a damn thing on this road! We're talking about
cow field after cow field basically. And because of this rain there's not
even any cows in the field, and boy I can just barely see out. Thankfully,
I know that Dick and Guy got us a pavilion for this barbecue so you gotta
bless them Texans. They know what they're thinkin' and they're thinkin'
straight cause I think we just may need it this weekend.
